The book of Romans spends a lot of time talking about sin…but it does so for a reason. Only once we understand the gravity of sin – and its universal impact – can we fully comprehend the extent of God’s love on display in the gospel.
Sin is powerful – but it doesn’t have the final word. Through Jesus, sin and death are defeated once and for all.
Even as we still struggle with our own sin and suffer its impact in this world, we know that there is a promised future where sin is done away with once and for all. And as we await that day, we can turn to Jesus for hope and strength that makes no worldly sense.
